Eyes of the Many Kelly Graham 9781492819585 Books Reviews
Very interesting suspenseful book. Interesting concept as well. Kept me on the edge of my seat most of the time. Couldn't put it down.
The cover of the book caught my eye, so unique. The story keeps your mind working overtime. Well written, compelling, beautifully written . Your heart goes out to the people who are misused by others for their own gain, no matter what they do it for. Dr. Gray claimed it was for LOVE I think he was just selfish. Personal gain
I did not care for this book. The destructiveness of each event over shadowed the plot. It was very difficult to keep reading.
While the author may do a bit too much in details at times, this was an exciting book. The characters were believable and well developed. Even the clones were much more than robotics. It took me a while to understand just where the story was going but by persevering it got much better. It is a good book and I would read more of his/her books if the price is right.
The journey that this book takes the reader on starts out with trajedy and seeming hopelessness, but quickly sets the stage for a ride filled with twists and turns and unexpected detours. I loved the characters (and hated the ones meant to be hated), especially Joey. I even had hopes of the Bennets adopting her when it was all over. Will definitely be looking for more from this author.
This story had me intrigued from the start. I liked the backstory of the protagonist Trayton (the name grew on me slowly).
That got me into his personal situation, never really dealing with the disappearance and probable death of his wife. I was happy to go on the ride with him as he looked into things further.
But from there it took off in directions I never anticipated. Science fiction, I suppose, but scarily close to where science is really at right now.
For me, though, the most interesting part of the story was the child and her situation. It was very well written and really held my interest. I also felt very strongly for the character Joey and would have liked to have seen more of her.
Eyes of the Many is a very good and quite original story from a great new author.
Trayton is told that his wife was killed in an auto accident, but the body could not be found. Four years later he begins to suspect that she survived the crash, and has disappeared, but he runs into all kinds of roadblocks, lies, and deceit when he tries to find out what happened to her. This is a very good story about a madman and the extreme lengths he went to so he could continue his research on cloning. There are a lot of surprises in the book that you didn't see coming. I couldn't put it down!
Dr. Frankenstein I've been cursed for delving into the mysteries of life!
Dr. Pretorius Sometimes I have wondered whether life wouldn't be much more amusing if we were all devils, no nonsense about angels and being good. - The Bride of Frankenstein (1935)
Kelly Graham is one of those unusual authors - those who can make you think, while not even realizing it.
Eyes of the Many is in most ways an evocative thriller. The story of a man, a police officer in Los Angeles who, after losing his wife in an inexplicable accident, spirals into the wasteland of his mind, longing for answers, and for the wife he has lost.
Four years later, now an investigator for a private firm, Trayton Benett is a lost man. He has given up his friends, and lives from day-to-day, just paying the bills. And then, something remarkable happens. His wife isn't back - but is she possibly still alive?
What follows is a thrilling book blending thriller, mystery and suspense with an undercurrent of science which will open your mind and leave you thinking deep into the night.
Bad Leiah wants to tell you all about it, and what I felt about the scientific bent to the story, but I don't want to ruin it for you. Rather, I will simply encourage you, very strongly to read the book.
Highly Recommended!
