Pauline Berkovitz, frazzled stay-at-home mom with four small kids, feels like a square peg in a round hole. She can’t fit into her newly adopted Orthodox Jewish community—or squeeze her widening hips into her skirt. Should she shy away from her past to fully embrace this new way of life? Since she has no clarity, getting away for Passover looks like the perfect solution, even if it means packing thirteen people and hoarding frozen briskets into two RVs. But Pauline cannot sweep anxiety under the doormat of her suburban bungalow. Angst slips onto her lap in the form of a package a mysterious box of matzah with a name but no address. To find the rightful owner, Pauline must hone her inner trust and veer off course, yet she must also deliver her motley convoy to their destination in time for the Passover Seder.
Pauline’s journal takes us onboard with the Berkovitz and Shapiro families. As their two RVs belt down the highway toward Destin, Florida, Pauline must placate the demanding and acerbic Mike Shapiro and win over Batya, Mike’s gloomy, withdrawn teenage daughter. Pauline also wants to fully appreciate unabashed Sam, her carefree husband who has attained nirvana 24/7, and Mike’s devout wife Julie, who is having a constant dialogue with God. Pursued by piles of laundry and piercing back pain, Pauline meets people en route who help her realize that she too has wisdom to share.
Let My RV Go! is an honest, light-hearted and refreshing observation of one woman’s search for meaning—even if it requires turning her life upside down and tearing out the kitchen sink. Ever had Passover in an RV? Hop aboard and celebrate with a twist.

Well written, simple, clear, entertaining novel that lets you live inside a normally closed world. I sat downto read a chapter or two before bed and finally finished reading when the birds started singing! Somehow
it lets you see that there really isn't any "Us" and "Them," that there's only "Us" and that's really healthy.
It also made me want to go to a Seder and so as Passover coincided with my Mothers birthday this year
we went to have Passover dinner at hers. ( We aren't Jewish,) It could have been a nightmare because my
dads a bit of a heathen and has a slightly short fuse or it could have been forced or trying to be something
or awkward but it was lovely and peaceful and we had such a profound sense of history and its a great memory
now and my parents loved it. My Father read all the prayers and it was really nice to hear him praying!
It isn't remotely preachy and it made me ask questions about the nature of being an outsider, like how I feel like
an outsider sometimes and that maybe we all do, but its also funny, witty and real. Don't think you can go wrong
with this book...

Let My RV Go! edition by Nicole Nathan Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Nicole Nathan gave my Jewish Identity journey a new twist. Her story and characters opened my eyes to the different ways we communicate with our higher power. In my case, I started reading David's Psalms (Tehillim). This addition to my learning and added voice to my expression of my spirituality has made a significant difference of who I am and how I interact with others and the world around me. Thank you Nicole! "Way to go!"
This excellently written book is a wonderful roller coaster ride, accentuated by inspiring views on Judaism and fascinating insights on travelling with a family. In the same way as Pauline has the drive to go forward and deliver the package and get the RV in time on the right location for the Seder, so the reader feels the urge to read on and to be inspired by these fascinating characters who make their own choices in (Jewish) life.
I have read it in two or three sessions, which is, I think, a compliment for the writer. In a way the story doesn't leave you any choice but to read on; and the writing is so good that it is big fun to do this.
I loved this book's title and loved the content even more. First time author but certainly not her last.
Book follows a traditional - yet not so traditional (funky, really) - Jewish family that decides to travel south for Passover in an RV
Hilarious, moving, and actually quite inspiring. where else do read about an alligator, biker, mystic matzah... and a woman finding herself... I read this in one sitting...
If your a BT you get all the jokes and references. If your not it's still a funny read. If your looking for the family trip book this is great read
I Loved reading this book!!! meaningful, inspirational, funny, and easy to read.
Thanks for writing it and publishing it!!!
I
Nicole Nathan's "Let my RV go!" is a great book. The author brilliantly describes 2 families travelling with all their Pesach belongings, trying to be in time and in order for Pesach and on top of that to fulfill a special mission (!). The book gives a clear and thoughtful insight into the ups and downs of a Baal Teshuva, someone who has returned to a religious lifestyle. From Def Leppard to Ma nishtana, with Harley chassid and all! The book would make a superb road movie. It has all the ingredients. The characters are witty but have their doubts and struggles. And the situations that the author brings to life make a great, funny and entertaining story. A very good read!
